Knees Over Toes: On-Bike Analysis

Now it’s time to take your learnings to the trail and check your progress. 

Get a video of yourself riding in these three distinct scenarios:

1. Riding through a corner (bonus points if you get videos of you turning in both directions!)  

2. Riding a basic jump (something you’re comfortable with)

3. Riding down a steeper bit of terrain (could even be a few steps or a curb or small hillside, depending on your comfort level)

Then check your videos for these technique cues:

  • Knee is driven over toe
  • Weight is in ball of foot
  • Knee is bent
  • Ankle is flexed forward
